FBC Saved To Serve
Each of us has been blessed with a gift that God can use to serve His people. No gift is greater or more important than another. We are called to identify and nurture our gifts and make ourselves available to use them in service to the Lord, as the Holy Spirit directs. It is a blessing to be a part of God's plan!
Romans 12: 4-8
4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith: 7 if your gift is serving, then serve: if it is giving, then give generously: if it is to lead, do it diligently: if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
1Peter 4: 10-11
10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of Gods grace in it's various forms. 11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
1 Corinthians 12: 4-11
4 There are different kinds of gifts but the same Spirit distributes them. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. 7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8 To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit. 10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophesy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and still to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one just as he determines.
